Slide into home plate!

Imagine a Major League pitcher stopped playing baseball completely for three months – when he started playing again, it is doubtful his arm would be as strong as three months prior! He would then need to train to get back in shape.

Now think of your child. Around now students are having their first quiz or test in their foreign language class. Did your normally A or B student receive a grade lower than normal?

Many students spend their summer doing activities other than studying Spanish, such as sports or overnight camps or hanging out at grandma’s house. This can cause what is known as the “summer slide,” when lack of exposure to a subject causes them to forget concepts or vocabulary. Even the best students return to school and their grades suffer as they try to recuperate that lost knowledge.
What can be done if this has happened to your child? Not to worry. He or she just needs to start “training” again – with tutoring or extra classes. That’s where Ready Languages comes in. We will compare your student’s work from last year and this year and come up with a program based on that analysis to take them from the summer slide to sliding into home plate!
