Arrange and Plan for the AP

We are almost one month away from the Language AP Exams.  How’s your studying going?

Right now it’s important to make a schedule – Arrange and Plan for the AP!  Take your study guide from your teacher, Princeton Review or Kaplan book, syllabus – basically whatever has the test broken down into its components – and make a plan.  Make yourself review each concept, whether it be divided into grammar points or test sections (oral, written, etc.), each day or every other day.  While you may be able to memorize vocabulary the night before, you can’t cram oral, listening, and writing abilities into the night before.  NOW is the time to really focus on reviewing.

The AP isn’t just about getting a good grade for your report card or making yourself look good for colleges, it’s also about getting college credit!  If you can get a 4 or a 5 on a language exam, most colleges make you exempt from the lower level classes.  What does this mean?  You can go straight into fun classes like literature surveys, culture classes, or specialized courses such as Islamic Iberia or Modern French Cinema.

So, buckle down, study hard, and remember, we at ReadyLanguages can help you come up with a schedule and stick to it!  We’ll even make you customizable practice tests and activities.  Just give us a call or e-mail!
