Election Correction

I’m a little late posting about this, but I’ve been busy successfully completing and defending a dissertation and all. 🙂

The U.S. presidential election has taught us all a lot, mostly lessons we did not want to learn. Donald Trump has taught everyone a very important lesson: hire a professional translator, even if it is only for three words:

As many news outlets have reported, this translation is incorrect. “Hispanics” isn’t even translated, and “para” is an incorrect preposition. At the least it should have been “Hispanos por Trump,” and “Latinos con Trump” would have been an even better cultural and grammatical translation. An English sign is proofread before it is printed and used, why not a Spanish one?

So, whether you need three words translated to try and persuade someone to vote for you, or a basic lesson in Spanish prepositions and culture, vote Ready Languages in 2016!
